Some properties have been well-maintained and even updated, while others may need minor repairs such as replacing old windows, wood trim, or repainting driveways and walkways. High Rise Condos

I almost forgot to add high rises into the housing section, because who really thinks of high rises when you think Central Erin Mills? Yes, some were built over a decade ago, but now that all the land is gone for detached homes, the focus has shifted entirely to in-fill. The large swath of land along Eglinton Ave W was always designated for high rises, and is now under development. It’s a true example of long term planning by the city.

So the handful of high rises that stood lonely for years are now being surrounded by new builds, and the result is that Central Erin Mills finally feels like it has it’s own “downtown” core, so to speak.

More shops will be built as well, and the Erin Mills Town Centre will truly be the centrepiece of this Village.

Many of these homes, due to their age, remain in their original condition, presenting a great opportunity for those looking to invest in cosmetic upgrades such as new flooring or cabinets. These updates can significantly increase the value of these spacious, well-located properties, making Credit Mills a fantastic choice for anyone looking for both a home with substantial potential and an excellent location.

The planning of Central Erin Mills integrates plenty of parks and trails, providing peaceful streets and courts, perfect for families. The area features amenities like a free-run dog park, splash pads, and fields for children, ensuring there’s always something to do outdoors.

With quick access to the 403 and being just minutes away from the Streetsville Go Train Station, Central Erin Mills is a commuter’s dream. Additionally, Credit Valley Hospital, located just five minutes away, is an asset, especially for families who may need emergency medical care. The hospital is also known for its innovative treatment centers, making it a highly regarded healthcare facility.

While this area is an excellent choice for many families with its schools, parks, and amenities, it may not be for everyone. If the idea of living in a suburban setting doesn’t appeal to you, then Central Erin Mills might not be the right fit. However, for those seeking a family-friendly community with convenient access to everyday necessities, this neighborhood remains a top choice.

Credit Valley Hospital

Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the improvements to the emergency and maternity wards, which have been redesigned to provide more comfortable and efficient care for patients. While it’s not perfect, it’s continually getting better. Thankfully, we haven’t had to rely on the cancer treatment or surgery wards, but they hold a great reputation in the community.

As a single young man, I would never have considered proximity to a hospital as a priority. But as a father and husband, it’s become an invaluable asset, providing peace of mind knowing that quality medical care is just around the corner.
